In the early part of 2007 I was interviewed by Musa Okwonga for a book he was writing with the aim of discovering what it is that makes a great footballer.

As a result of much research, talking to a wide range of people involved in football, from Steve McManaman to sports writer Hugh Mcllvanney, he has produced a beautifully written book which I am very proud to be associated with.

The book has received much praise in the press and the Independent has put it at number one in it's list of top ten sports books.

I would certainly recommend it (not just because I am in it!).
