"The title is on ice "

Supercool Lewis has the mental strength to be F1 champion, a top sports psychologist said yesterday.

Andy Barton added: “He’s shown extraordinary mental strength for someone of his age and experience.

“He said the Chinese race was in the past. A champion’s focus is on what is next. His focus will be on the first practice in Brazil, then on getting a fast time to get on pole.

“He is someone with plenty of bottle. People often make the mistake of playing safe. I don’t see Lewis doing so. I think he’ll go out to win in Brazil and take the championship.”
